Langhorne Rod & Gun Club
Welcome to the Langhorne Rod and Gun Club!
You have found the website of one of the best clubs in Pennsylvania . Langhorne Rod and Gun holds many events throughout the year including Archery, Trap, Black Powder Muzzle Loader, Pistol, CMP / NRA Highpower Rifle, Sporting Clays, and Fishing. Our goal is to provide you with useful information about our Club that we hope makes it easier for you to take advantage of all we have to offer.
If you are new to the club, visit the "About Us" page to read some club history and our mission statement. The "Facilities" page has information about all the ranges the Club has to offer. Prospective members will find answers to most questions on the "Membership" page.
The Club is open to members from 9:00am to Sunset everyday, except for scheduled Club sanctioned events (see calendar). Some ranges are reserved for special events, so be sure to consult the Calendar! Non members can view a list of upcoming activities and events on our open to the public page.
Good morning. I am actively seeking RSOs (Range Safety Officers) for a May 17th, 2014 event at the Middletown, PA Grange Fairgrounds from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The organization that contacted me is called “Trailblazer Adventure Program” www.trailblazeradventure.org . They are working in partnership with the “Bucks County Boy Scout Association” on their large event called “Bucks Jam”. http://www.buckscountybsa.org/event/1494150
They have contacted me and are requesting 8-10 range safety officers for a BB gun range and an Archery range.
I will be volunteering along with one of our Board members and as of this time, one of our fellow members. This will not be a LR&GC “sponsored” event nor will it be an official LR&GC “function”. Anyone who can please help will be introduced as a person who understands the value of youth programs and wants to lend a hand. The two volunteers who have already committed to help and myself, will need to leave at noon to go to another volunteer event that we had committed to prior to being asked to assist with this, the “Bucks Jam”.
It would be helpful but not an absolutely requirement that you possess NRA training and certification as a Range Safety Officer. Again, this is not a “must”.
I am very short on volunteers so I would really appreciate your help on this please. Even if you can only come for part of the event, that would still be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated.
Please give me a call if you can help with this very worthy endeavor sponsored by two organizations that deserve our assistance due to the stellar work that they do with the youth of America.
Thanks in advance,
Sunday, April 13th was our second 3-D Archery Event of the year. It was very well attended and a BLAST to shoot!! Please come out and join us for our next event on May 11th!
The weather could not have been better for the 2014 Kids Fishing Derby! The Fishing committee did a great job getting the fish in the creek, and the smiling kids came out in force! We want to send a BIG thanks to everyone who helped out and made this event a success! Bill Rementer captured quite a few smiling kids and their beautiful fish with his camera. Check out Bill's photos below.
It's that time of year again! Time to stock our great little section of the Neshaminy Creek with some beautiful trout! The weather was great, and the fishing committee came out in force! Our resident shutterbug Bill Rementer managed to get some great photos (as usual).

Happy Spring my fellow LR&GC members!! A quick update: we have contracted with a local architect to prepare professional drawings of our firing line cover. These drawings were required by and requested by the Township of Northampton. We should have them in a week. When they are completed, the Board, the V.P. and I will meet with the architect to discuss. After that, the drawings will be submitted to the Township and we will then have to await their review and response.
So, we are making progress in the process. I’ll update you all as new information becomes available.
And again, I am happy to hear from you and happy to speak with you if you want to give me a call.
